About Jenison Robotics
Who are we? Jenison Robotics is a program serving Jenison Public School students in the 4th-12th grades. Teams of students design, build and program their own robots. They then compete against other teams from Jenison, Grandville, Hudsonville and around the state. Students learn valuable lessons in engineering, programming, teamwork, problem solving and sportsmanship.
During the 2015/2016 school year, Jenison Robotics fielded eight high school and middle school teams and 14 elementary school teams. In all, 150 Jenison Public Schools students participated in robotics. From these teams, three middle school teams, and six elementary school teams qualified for the Michigan State Championships. Of those, we had two teams win at the state level and qualify to compete at the VEX World Championships in Louisville, KY. We are very proud of our students and their achievements after just one year of competition!
This is just the start, as we plan to help support other robotics and STEM related activities, that aim to inspire and motivate students.
Jenison Robotics is part of the Jenison Parent and Booster Clubs Organization, and is tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code section 501(C) (3).
